Croatian military police dog trainer Ida Baranasic has joined the animal training and socialisation team at Dubai’s MySecondHome luxury pet resort.

A Graduate in Canine Ethology; the science of dog temperament and behaviour, Ida won Croatian national championships and also delivered animal training seminars and summer camps in Italy, Jordan and Canada before coming to Dubai last year.

An accomplished obedience and agility specialist, she will play a key role in the growth of MySecondHome’s successful programme of training classes and aggression management boot camps, as the resort’s Co-Founder and training specialist Vaughn Pillay explained.

“Since we launched the business we have been overwhelmed by requests from members for help to improve their dogs’ behaviour, and having Ida’s skill and experience on board means we can offer an even wider schedule of classes and courses.”

Situated in Dubai Investment Park and spread across the equivalent of 18 tennis courts - with two thirds indoors, the AED10m MySecondHome project opened its doors over Easter 2015 to offer the UAE’s sweltering dogs a chance to chill-out in the world’s largest air-conditioned indoor free play park and leisure pool. The resort also provides supervised Daycare, all-suite boarding and grooming. A 400sqft petcare store retails food, play and welfare products.
